Apple Inc. is working on new versions of the iPhone that are aimed at slowing the advance of competing handsets based on Google Inc.’s Android software, according to people who have been briefed on the plans.
One version would be cheaper and smaller than the most recent iPhone, said a person who has seen a prototype and asked not to be identified because the plans haven’t been made public.
Apple also is developing technology that makes it easier to use the iPhone on multiple wireless networks, two people said.

The price is a huge drawback from it. now that its come to verizon i really want one but theyre just so expensive.
they would make an excellent door stop or paperweight!

Go go apple. But try something different. An orange to your apple, so to speak. Instead of being just a one trick pony (iPad, iPod, iPhone, iPeed-a-little) try some out of the box thinking...
We'll see if that happens. I think of apple as a company that likes to overprice things.

Thanks for sharing this information. iPhone is a good Smartphone. For pricing, I recommend purchasing refurbished iPhones. It’s cheap with 1 year warranty.
